The Beyond Impact conference was a four-part series sponsored by Tides and the Advocacy Fund and held at the Thoreau Center. The topics included the importance of 501(c)(4) funding as a strategy in dismantling mass incarceration, dismantling the system of criminalization of foster youth, California’s death penalty legislation, and using data to improve accountability of the criminal justice system. Activist, educators, and concerned community members met to learn and share strategies for action during this powerful convening.
